- 1 small white or sweet onion, diced (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 green pepper, diced (about 1/2 cup)
- 1 (2 lb.) bag of Ore-Ida (cubed) Hash Brown Potatoes, thawed
- 1 (16 oz) container of sour cream
- 2 (small) cans of Cream of Chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz) bag of Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 2 C. Corn Flakes cereal, crushed into smaller pieces
- Salt (to taste)
- Pepper (to taste)
Mix in a large bowl:
Hash browns, sour cream, salt & pepper, onion, green pepper, and cans of Cream of Chicken soup. (Don't add water!)
Spread mixture in a greased 9 x 13" pan.
Sprinkle cheese over the top.
Sprinkle crushed Corn Flakes over the cheese.
Melt butter and pour evenly over the top of Corn Flakes.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
